27 Smith Street Competition

Working in association with Mark Szczerbicki Design Studio, we prepared an entry for the 27 Smith Street Competition organised by Sydney Living Museum. Our concept was to invert the notion of conventional brick veneer.  Beyond the environmental benefits, this idea allows for the inherent beauty of the brick to become the material for the interior.  The project is know as Hearth House and it exploits the robustness of the material in dealing with daily family life.
