A few of the members of our Flinders Street Station competition team were recently in Melbourne for the opening of the Longlist exhibition. This event brought together many of the architects who did not get short-listed, and who were keen to share ides about their schemes.

We recently submitted an entry for the Flinders Street Station Design Competition in collaboration with Perumal Pedavoli Architects and Tom Rivard (Lean Productions). Special thank you also to Felix Saw, Trevor Townson, Matt Austin and Jason Tran for their help with the project. Our competition panels have now been added to the COMPETITIONS section.

We wish all the short-lited architects best of luck with their Stage 2 entries.     

LORD ROBERTS hotel UPDATE

The refurbished bar and bottle shop at the Lord Roberts Hotel in East Sydney is complete and the shelves are slowly getting filled with memorabilia. We are looking forward to further restoration work and moving on to the restaurant and courtyard upstairs. 

gymea bay house ii progress

Our second residential project in Gymea Bay is progressing well. The first floor (bedroom level) addition is nearing lock-up stage, and once complete the existing ground floor will be demolished to make way for a new open-plan living/kitchen/dining space. We will post more images later in the year.

bellevue hill residence complete

Our latest residential project is now complete. The Bellevue Hill residence features a folded zinc roof pavillion over a sandstone-clad base. The interiors are by Tonka Andjelkovic Design, with landscape by 360 degrees.   

STITCH BAR IN NEW BOOK BY MONSA

Stitch Bar has been featured in a new book by Barcelona-based publisher Monsa. You can see more info on the Monsa website. We are also looking forward to a new book focused on urban design which will feature our High Street Bowral project, due to be released later in the year.

NEW JOINERY FACTORY COMPLETE

We have recently completed a new joinery factory as the first stage of an industrial development in Smeaton Grange. The factory features colorbond strips which run up the walls, around the awning and over the roof.

We have also completed a number of other industrial office/warehouse/factory buildings so we will be adding a new project category soon.

Construction is well under way for our second house in Gymea Bay. The project involves a major refurbishment of the existing ground floor and a new suspended first floor volume above. The site is full waterfront and enjoys panoramic views of Gymea Bay and out towards Port Hacking. This photo is taken standing in the corner of the future master bedroom.

lord roberts hotel refurbishment

We have recently completed some refurbishment work including a new bar and memorabilia wall at the Lord Roberts Hotel in Stanley Street, East Sydney. We will post some more photos in our Public + Commercial section soon. 

BUTTON BAR IN SMALL BARS TOUR

The third in our series of bars for the clients at Pocket and Stitch - Button Bar - has recently opened in Surry Hills.
